I have been part of North West Ambulance Service since 2007 and was honoured to take on the role of Chief Executive in January 2025. At NWAS, we are here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing lifesaving care and support to those who need it most. We are incredibly proud of our Good ratings from both the CQC and Ofsted, which reflect the dedication, professionalism and compassion of our people.

With a strong five-year strategy in place, we are seeking a leader who can help shape NWAS’s future direction and influence, turning ambitious goals into tangible outcomes through robust planning, clear milestones, measurable results and meaningful assurance. You will play a key role in ensuring that our strategic ambitions translate into real improvements for patients, staff and communities.

Partnership working will be equally important. You will strengthen NWAS’s influence across systems, places and localities, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, commissioners, providers and partners to help shape integrated urgent and emergency care and ensure the ambulance service has a strong voice in the future of health and care.

As a key member of our Executive Team, you will provide visible and approachable leadership across NWAS, supporting capable and established teams to succeed. Through clear direction, constructive challenge and collaboration, you will bring people together, turn ambition into action and help ensure we continue to make a meaningful difference for patients, staff and communities.
